This article is mainly a analysis of the different facts that are exposed on this blog as performances best practices, although most of the facts exposed here are true, there is also some old urban legends, or optimizations that are quite useless in fact.
I'll do 6 complete article, two per article on devtheweb.net, this to ensure a full explanation of every single point show there.
I think it's important, not only to know what to do, but to know why it works, because things can change with time, if you understand how it works, it's easier to make good decisions.
This article will be split in 2 parts, in order to keep the length manageable

So my first post is about the talk i gave at the symfony live conference.
Feedback is in my opinion an important part of a talk, and based on the feedback I received, I would have probably been more specific on some part of my talk, I'll use this blog entry to try to explain why I choose to be so "low level" and why it seemed more important to me to do it that way instead of a set of almost useless rules you usually see on websites.

This first blog entry is basically here to say thanks to my partner Philoyche (twitter: @philoyche) for taking is time to play with HTML5, CSS3 and put online a small blog system, in less than a day.
Another important thing is to say who we are and what we do.
